The Chicago Botanic Garden is a beautiful venue for a nontraditional Chicago wedding, and it’s also one of my favorite spots to visit on a free weekend. The Garden is located about 20 miles north of Chicago in the town of Glencoe; an easy drive since it’s just off the I-94. The garden has a completely different feel every season, so it’s worth going back in the spring, summer, and again in the fall to see the different colors of the flora. There’s also several lovely event spaces in the Garden for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
