When I first spoke with them, Steven and Will stressed that they wanted their celebration to be fun, laid-back, and full of joy. Their Ivy Room wedding day turned out to be exactly that! There were storms in the forecast which forced us to move the timeline around at the last minute, but Steven, Will, and their wedding party remained calm and relaxed in spite of all the changes. Here’s a few of my favorites from their day!
With rain in the forecast, we started off by taking photos in the Ivy Room courtyard right away instead of waiting until after the ceremony.
Then we headed to the lakefront to take a few more portraits in front of the Chicago skyline.
Just as the rain started to fall, we headed back to the Ivy Room for the ceremony.
The ceremony was filled with laughter, joy, and lots of happy tears.
After the ceremony, the team at the Ivy Room flipped the room for the reception.
Time for the dance party!
Near the end of the night, we stepped out into the courtyard for Steven and Will’s exit with sparklers.
