Welcome back, blog followers! I’m excited to share a few photos from Amy and Michael’s Ivy Room wedding today on the blog.
I don’t know a single person that isn’t excited when Fall finally starts to descend upon Chicago. Maybe it’s the changing leaves or the cozy sweaters, but for me it’s always a great change of pace. When I first met Amy and Mike for their North Pond Engagement Session in the Spring I knew that their intimate Fall wedding was going to be something amazing. The morning of Amy’s wedding I met her and a few of her close family members at the Conrad hotel. One of the first things I noticed was the huge bouquet of beautiful flowers that Michael had sent her the previous evening to tell her how elated he was to be her husband. I have to say that I wasn’t surprised by the sweet gift! Having gotten to know Amy and Michael over the past year has shown just how kind, thoughtful, and caring this couple is. It wasn’t long before we had to head off to Chicago’s historic Wicker Park neighborhood for their ceremony and with as much as excitement there was we almost forgot the dress! Michael greeted us at the church for their first look so we took some time to take in the gorgeous foliage on Hoyne Ave. Not only does this couple share an amazing smile, but the two were positively beaming at each other as we entered the church for their ceremony. After a heartfelt ceremony my bride and groom left the church hand in hand, bound for the Ivy Room wedding. The beautiful Fall colors chosen for the room as well as the smell of fresh rosemary that wafted throughout was absolutely breathtaking. Enough chatter, let’s get to the Ivy Room wedding photos!
