Hello, loyal blog followers, and happy new year! The rush of holiday album orders resulted in some serious blog neglect, so I’m hoping to rectify that in January. We’re going to start with a lovely Salvage One wedding featuring an amazing couple, Kristin and Andrew. You may remember these two from their Chicago winter engagement session about a year ago. Kristin found me through her older sister, who I went to school with starting in grade school and going all the way through college, so I was excited and humbled to be able to capture her sister’s wedding day at one of my favorite venues, Salvage One. But enough about me – let’s get to the goods!
I started off my day with Kristin and the girls as they got ready in their suite at the Waldorf Astoria hotel.
Meanwhile, Andrew and the guys got ready down the street at the Drake Hotel.
When everyone was ready, Andrew and the guys headed over to the Waldorf Astoria so that we could do our first look there.
We headed over to Salvage One…
… and we used the time before the ceremony to do a few portraits with the wedding party.
I loved the purple bridesmaid dresses!
Time for the ceremony:
After dinner, it was dance party time!
Kristin changed into a lovely second dress so that she could be a little more mobile on the dance floor!
Finally, we headed outside for a quick photo at the end of the night.

Steve, you captured some really special moments. My favorite is the first look photograph when you’re straight on capturing their profiles looking at each other. It’s radiating joy!
