Adler Planetarium Wedding

You may remember Erin and Jim from their engagement session in downtown Chicago. I loved working with them then, so I was really excited for their wedding day! Erin got ready at her Wicker Park home, surrounded by friends and family. Two of Sonia Roselli‘s girls, Rachelle and Rebecca, did a fantastic job on Erin’s hair and makeup, making her look amazing. After Erin was ready to go, we took off for the ceremony at St. Mary of the Angels. The temperature was threatening to hit 90, but we braved the fierce sun and heat to take some pictures downtown. Finally, it was off to the Adler Planetarium for the reception! The Adler is such a cool, unique venue to have an event – the all-glass ceiling and walls gave guests a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. It was my first time shooting there, and I hope that I’ll be able to go back again soon!

I loved all of the little details at this wedding. There were cute cake-toppers of Erin and Jim atop the Amy Beck cake. Erin and Jim’s families had also baked tons of Italian cookies for a dessert table. The cocktail napkins also had fun facts about Erin and Jim, and they had a DIY guestbook using a photobooth. Congratulations again, Erin and Jim. Thank you so much for letting me a part of your wedding day; I had tons of fun!
