It was a perfect spring day for Melissa and Jake’s Ovation wedding day, and I was really looking forward to working with them again! I had last worked with Melissa and Jake on their engagement photos in Wicker Park, and I remember how laid back they were. We were all laughing so much throughout the session, so I was really looking forward to photographing them again on their wedding day. Let’s get to the ovation wedding photos!
I started off my day with Melissa, her family, and her bridesmaids as they got ready in their suite at the Westin River North.
Melissa and Jake had their first look on the bridge just outside the hotel.
Afterwards, it was off to Assumption Church for the ceremony!
After the ceremony and a few portraits, we headed to Ovation to join their guests at their cocktail hour and reception.
Instead of cake, Melissa and Jake opted for pies from Bang Bang Pie Company!
Now, time for the dance party! The Style Matters DJs always do a great job making sure that the dance floor is packed throughout the night.
We took one last portrait at dusk in front of the Rolls Royce that Ovation includes for their brides and grooms.
