The last time I saw Sherri and Jon, we were taking engagement photos along the river downtown. We captured the river, the skyline, and the architecture of Chicago’s downtown, and I really enjoyed getting to know them better while we worked together. After the session, I was really looking forward to working with them again on their Kimpton Gray Hotel wedding day. Below are a few of my favorite frames from their day.
I started off my day with Sherri as she got ready with friends and family in her hotel suite.
Jon got ready in his own suite at the Kimpton.
When everyone was dressed and ready to go, Sherri and Jon saw each other for the first time and shared a moment on the elegant staircase inside the hotel.
Afterwards, we jumped on the bus to take some portraits downtown with their wedding party.
With portraits done, it was back to the Kimpton for the ceremony.
The Boleo room at the Kimpton offered a beautiful view of the city’s skyline. It was a clear night, and we could see the lights from all the skyscrapers around us.
