Welcome back, blog readers! Today, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorites from Sue and Michael’s Ivy Room wedding. I had only chatted with Susan via phone and email, so I was really looking forward to meeting her on the morning of the wedding day. Both she and Michael turned out to be incredibly lovely people who were a joy to work with, which made my job tremendously easier!
I started off my day with Susan, her friends, and her family in her suite at the Hyatt Magnificent Mile.
After our first look in the lobby of the hotel, we headed out for a few portraits on the city.
We also took advantage of the Ivy Room’s lovely courtyard before the guests arrived.
Time for the ceremony:
Anyone who reads my blog knows that I don’t post details very often. Today is an exception because I had to share some of the gorgeous work by Natalie at Hello Darling and Frost Lighting:
And if I’m going to post photos of details, I have to give some love to Amy Beck, my favorite cake designer in the city!
And now, it’s dance party time!
We snuck back into the courtyard one last time for an evening portrait at the end of the night:
Congratulations again Susan and Michael! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I had such a great time working with you, your families, and your friends, and I wish you nothing but the best!
