Firehouse Chicago Wedding Photos : Allison and Ryan

I am so grateful that I met Allison and Ryan for so many reasons: First, they are lovely, kind people who I’ve enjoyed working with on two occasions. Their Firehouse Chicago wedding, of course, but also, their Second City engagement photos. They have a loving family and a great group of friends that surround them, which was obvious within seconds of meeting all of them on the morning of the wedding. And It was these two that introduced me to the world of improv, a world that I fell in love with over a year ago when I started taking classes. But you didn’t come here to read about that, so let’s get to the wedding photos!

I started off the day documenting Allison and her bridesmaids as they got ready in their suite at the Waldorf.

Ryan, meanwhile, got ready at a suite at Hotel Lincoln.

It was the weekend of the air and water show – it always makes it a little hectic to get around the city, but even from Lincoln Park, we were able to enjoy part of the show.

Ryan’s best man played a song for the couple as guests filed in from the garden for dinner.

Time for the dance party! Toast and Jam, as always, kept the dance floor packed all night long.

While guests were mingling after dinner, we snuck upstairs for a quick evening portrait. Allison and Ryan were very close with their friends and families, so I wanted to find a way to include them in this image.
