For obvious reasons, we’re not having big weddings right now. But Alex and Ryan decided to have a small Chicago backyard wedding with just their family. I’ve photographed a few small backyard weddings this year as some of my clients have found ways to celebrate as safely as possible. A few notes about the ceremonies that I’ve been willing to photograph: they’ve all been outdoors, with immediate family, and I’ve stayed distant and worn a mask the entire time. I’m grateful that my clients this year have all been respectful about my comfort level and open about their own. Anyways, back to Alex and Ryan’s backyard wedding. It was drizzling at times, but it didn’t dampen spirits. Here are a few of my favorites from their day.
