Let’s flash back to when flowers were blooming and the sun was shining. Today, I’ll be sharing some of my favorites from Whitney and Ian’s Art Institute of Chicago Modern Wing wedding photos. I was fortunate enough to photograph the wedding of Whitney’s sister Ashley a few years ago (see their Museum of Broadcast Communications wedding photos here!) and was humbled to be able to work with her family again. Whitney was so much fun to work with – relaxed and full of laughter throughout the day. And Ian was laid-back and equally joyful. Even with some of the chaos that inevitably happens on wedding days with so many moving parts, they stayed focused on enjoying each other, their families, and their friends. Below are some of my favorites from the day:
Whitney started her day at the Fairmont Hotel, getting ready with friends and family.
Meanwhile, Ian got ready in a suite of his own:
We took some portraits around downtown Chicago and in the gardens of the Art Institute.
A favorite of Whitney:
The ceremony took place in Griffin Court in the Modern Wing:
Afterwards, the room was flipped for the reception:
Dance party time!
One last night portrait on the bridge of the Modern Wing:
