If Heather and Michael look familiar, it’s because you probably remember them from their Chicago engagement session last year. I was very much looking forward to working with this fun couple again, and their wedding at Promontory Point and Spiaggia didn’t disappoint! Onto the wedding photos:
I started off my morning with Heather, her family, and her bridesmaids as they got ready at their suite at the Sutton Place Hotel.
Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready in a different room:
Back to the girls!
Heather’s Vera Wang wedding dress looked stunning in the window…
… but it was even more stunning on her!
I loved Heather’s DIY project for her shoes.
We did the first look just outside the hotel:
And we stopped for a few photos of Heather and Mike together, too.
And then it was off to Promontory Point for the ceremony!
After the ceremony, we all got onto a bus and headed north to Spiaggia for the reception. It was a little bit of a hike, but traffic was about as good as you could expect for a Saturday afternoon in Chicago!
The first dance:
And now, it was time for the dance party! Toast and Jam did a great job making sure that the dance floor stayed packed all night long.
Then again, Heather and Mike’s friends didn’t need much convincing to dance the night away!
Near the end of the night, we snuck outside for a few minutes to do a couple more portraits.
Congratulations again, Heather and Michael! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I wish you both nothing but the best!
