I had a lovely time working with Erin and Ron at their engagement session, and I couldn’t wait for their wedding at Chicago’s Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum! A friend of mine had gotten married at the Notebaert a few years ago, and I was excited to be able to photograph a wedding in their event space! Erin and Ron got ready in separate rooms at the Belden Stratford. After seeing each other for the first time in the hotel lobby, we headed for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The weather, unfortunately, was uncooperative, so we did the fun wedding party photos inside the museum while the rain poured down outside. We went into the butterfly sanctuary, and one pretty butterfly proved to be incredibly cooperative for photos! With wedding party photos completed, we had a ceremony on the first floor of the museum. Afterwards, Erin and Ron changed into their hanboks (traditional Korean attire) for the Korean wedding ceremony. After the Korean ceremony, it was time for the reception! Lauren Le Pine from Ryan Alexander Events and the team at the Notebaert Museum did a beautiful job with the decor, and ETV Productions kept people dancing all night! Props to Deborah from Honey and Light for being my outstanding second shooter. Congratulations, Erin and Ron; thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to document your wedding day. I wish you both nothing but the best!
