Alisha and Dan had a wonderful, nontraditional wedding at Loft on Lake. Ever since getting to know them better at their engagement session, I had been looking forward to their wedding. Both Alisha and Dan were big fans of urban backdrops for pictures, and the West Loop didn’t disappoint.
I started the day with Alisha at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Chicago, where Alisha was getting ready. Kelly, my second shooter, started the day with Dan and his groomsmen. We were thirty floors up or so, and got to enjoy a great view of the city while everyone was getting ready. We went down to the hotel bar when everyone was dressed, and the girls had a round of drinks. After downing those, it was off to Loft on Lake for the ceremony!
The bridal party and I snuck out after the ceremony for some portraits around the West Loop. It was such a cool area, and we didn’t even need to drive anywhere! When we were done exploring, we headed back to Loft on Lake for the reception.
Congratulations, Alisha and Dan, and thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your day; I enjoyed every minute of it!

Just as gorgeous as I knew they would be, Steve!
PS. I’m in love with the glow of the red lights. :-)
