You may remember Sara and Iain from their Lincoln Park engagement photos just a couple of months ago. Even though they lived in New York, I was excited that we were able to schedule an engagement session in Chicago so I could meet them before the wedding day. Luckily, these two greeted me with huge smiles when we first met and were such a pleasure to work with that I couldn’t wait for the wedding! I also had the help of fantastic wedding planner Charlene Liang from Sweetchic Events who helped make sure that the entire day ran smoothly.
And now, onto some wedding photos!
We started off our day at the Sofitel Hotel where Sonia Roselli’s girls made sure that Sara’s hair and makeup looked stunning. Deb started off her day with Iain and the guys in another suite.
I loved the card that Iain picked out for Sara. Then again, I’m a sucker for a cute dog photo!
With all of the girls ready, it was off to the Douglas Dawson Gallery for the wedding.
The weather was lovely, so the wedding was held outdoors on the grounds of the Douglas Dawson Gallery.
After the ceremony, we spent a few minutes doing portraits around the grounds before letting the newlyweds enjoy their cocktail hour with guests.
After dinner, it was time for the dance party! Sarah from Toast and Jam did a great job keeping the dance floor packed throughout the night.
At the end of the night, we snuck back outdoors for a couple quick photos.
Congratulations again Sara and Iain; thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I sincerely wish you both nothing but the best!
