Evelia and Ariel were married at the Chateau Busche in Chicago. After working with the lovely couple on their engagement session, I was really looking forward to their wedding. They were a gorgeous couple in love, and they were passionate about modern, nontraditional wedding photography. Every time they looked at each other, you could really tell that Evelia and Ariel loved each other, and I was so happy to be able to tell the story of their day.
I started the day with Evelia and her family as she got ready at her parents house. After capturing some getting ready shots and details, we all moved to St. Peter and Paul Church for the ceremony. The amazing Mariachi Perla de Mexico performed during the ceremony. Because of the size of the bridal party, we skipped a limo altogether and rented a party bus! The party bus headed to downtown Chicago for pictures at Millennium Park and in front of the Adler Planetarium to get a shot with the Chicago skyline in the background. We then fought traffic to make it to the Chateau Busche just in time for the reception. Mariachi Perla de Mexico was there along with all of the guests to welcome us! The reception was fantastic, and the dance floor was packed all night! Congratulations, Evelia and Ariel, and thank you so much for the opportunity to capture your big day! A big shout-out needs to go to my awesome second photographer Keri Shay for all of her great work helping me capture everything.

Evelia wanted to get a picture with the day’s newspaper. Unfortunately, the front page happened to have a giant picture of our ex-governor on it.
Evelia switched from a traditional veil to a birdcage after the ceremony. I loved it.
The mariachi band was amazing! Pictures and words cannot describe how much fun these guys were.
