Lisa and Rob had a wonderful wedding in Oak Park, just outside the city of Chicago. If these two look familiar, it’s because you may remember them from their Chicago engagement session! I started the day with Lisa as she got ready at the Carleton Hotel. After she was ready to go, we were off to St. Edmund Church for the ceremony! We spent some time going around Oak Park doing some fun pictures before making our way to the 19th Century Club for the wedding reception. The night before their wedding, Chicago had been hit with severe thunderstorms; Oak Park was hit particularly hard, and the 19th Century Club was one of many that still didn’t have power when it came time for the reception. The staff had managed to get their hands on a generator, which had enough juice to power the DJ equipment and lights, but not the air conditioning, unfortunately. With temperatures in the high 80s, some brides and grooms would have panicked, but Lisa and Rob remained calm and collected! All of their friends and family endured the heat and had a good time, and the lack of air conditioning didn’t keep anyone off the dance floor! Congratulations, Lisa and Rob; you stayed amazingly poised in an impossible situation, and I was so thrilled to be a part of your wedding day!

I loved this artwork!
No air conditioning? No problem! Rob, Lisa, and all of their guests went on regardless, and the staff did everything they could!
She had the right idea!

The heat didn’t stop anyone from dancing!
