A New Leaf Wedding : Kate and Dan

You may remember Kate and Dan from their Chicago engagement session earlier this year. I had so much fun getting to know these two that I couldn’t wait for their wedding at New Leaf, one of my favorite venues to shoot at! I started off my day with Kate and her friends as they got ready at her father’s place. Holly Kasprisin did a lovely job with Kate’s hair and makeup, and Kate looked stunning in her Vera Wang dress and birdcage veil. When we were ready to go, we headed towards A New Leaf! A New Leaf is a charming flower shop in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood that also has an event space which is perfect for weddings. The bride and groom had their first look right outside the shop, and we spent a few minutes doing fun portraits around Lincoln Park. Afterwards, we headed inside for the ceremony. With family photos and portraits already done, Kate and Dan relaxed after the ceremony and enjoyed cocktail hour with their guests before the reception.

The flowers, of course, were provided by A New Leaf, while catering was done by Bonsoiree, one of Kate and Dan’s favorite restaurants; I haven’t been before, but now I really want to go, as the food was all delicious! The cake was done by the one and only Amy Beck, and Kristin from Toast and Jam kept the dance floor packed all night! Congratulations again, Kate and Dan. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to document your wedding day; I had such a wonderful time!
