It finally feels like we can see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, and I’m feeling excited and refreshed to be able to photograph weddings again! Today, I’ll be sharing a few favorites from Emma and Tim’s Skokie Country Club wedding day. Emma and Tim were married at Divine Mercy Church in Winnetka followed by a reception at the nearby Skokie Country Club.
I started off the morning with Emma as she got ready surrounded by friends and family.
When everyone was dressed and ready, we jumped on the bus for the short drive to the church.
After the ceremony, Emma and Tim were surprised with a vintage car that chauffeured them back to the country club for the reception.
The sky threatened rain, but we were able to work quickly and get some portraits done outside.
Afterwards, we headed into the tent just outside the building for dinner and the reception.
I love a good dance party, and it’s one of my favorite parts of the day to photograph. With weddings and dance floors shut down for over a year, I felt a wave of excitement and nervousness as friends and family slowly came onto the dance floor while Entourage played song after song, sounding like they hadn’t missed a beat after a year off. Before long, the nervousness gave way to joy. I never felt unsafe, and I had a blast photographing the dance floor!
Congratulations again Emma and Tim! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your Skokie Country Club wedding day. I had a blast working with you and wish you all the best. A few shout outs to the people who helped to put this Skokie Country Club wedding together:
