Susan and Brandon celebrated their Promontory Point wedding day by merging customs from Indian and Western cultures. These two last made it onto the blog when I worked with them on their downtown Chicago engagement photos last fall, and I was looking forward to seeing them again! Due to the pandemic, Susan and Brandon limited their celebration to family and close friends, nearly all who were fully vaccinated. Here’s a few of my favorites from the day:
Susan got ready at her home with family and friends. When she was dressed and ready, they held a Dakshina ceremony.
Brandon got ready at a hotel down the street.
Brandon headed over when he was dressed, and the two had their first look inside their home.
We jumped in a car for the trek down to Hyde Park and the reception.
We stopped at the University of Chicago campus to take some portraits. I love the architecture around the campus:
The wind was howling as we walked up the path towards Promontory Point!
We arrived at Promontory Point for the cocktail and dinner reception. Susan and Brandon changed into their Indian ceremonial outfits.
Before I left, we stepped outside for some portraits and took advantage of the light from the setting sun:
