It’s always fun to shoot at a new venue, and I was really looking forward to Mary and Luke’s Orchard Ridge Farms wedding day. We last saw this fun couple on the blog at their downtown Chicago engagement session last summer. I had a great time working with them and getting to know them, and I knew that the wedding day would be just as fun! Let’s get to the wedding photos:
Mary, her bridesmaids, and her family got ready at a salon near her parents home.
We made a pit stop at Mary’s parents house after everyone was done with hair and makeup, and I got to meet these pups!
After the ceremony at the Church of Holy Apostles, it was off to Orchard Ridge Farms for the reception. We stopped outside the venue to do a few quick portraits with Mary, Luke, and their wedding party. It was a sunny and warm summer day – we couldn’t have asked for better weather! Mary’s bridesmaids sported these lovely art-deco inspired bridesmaid dresses.
I was a big fan of Mary’s white wedding Toms – much more comfortable than heels!
Mary and Luke mentioned in their questionnaire that they wanted to capture “lots of great dancing photos,” and I was more than happy to oblige! The reception was a blast, and the dance floor was packed all night long!
