Some of my favorite weddings are smaller, intimate affairs. I always try to tell stories with my work, and since I already know that everyone present is either family or a close friend, I can give all the guests a little extra love and attention. Fewer guests definitely doesn’t mean fewer moments! Michelle and Shane celebrated their intimate wedding in Chicago with a ceremony at the beautiful Lincoln Park Conservatory, followed by toasts and champagne. They treated their guests to dinner at Stephanie Izard’s Girl and the Goat restaurant, a favorite of locals and tourists alike. Here’s a few of my favorites from their day:
I started off the day capturing Michelle with friends and family as they got ready at the Kimpton Allegro hotel.
Shane got ready in his own suite.
A couple more portraits – some of these happened before the ceremony, but I liked the flow of the images in this post by putting them after the ceremony.
After a couple more portraits, we arrived at Girl and the Goat for dinner!
A quick sunset portrait from in front of Girl and the Goat:
Congratulations again Michelle and Shane! I’m so glad that we could work together on your Lincoln Park Conservatory wedding day.
