Happy December! On this post, I’ll be sharing a few favorites from Heather and Kaleb’s Chicago Micro Wedding earlier this year. It’s been a little quiet on the blog as we’ve all hunkered down to get through this pandemic together. I’ve photographed a few small ceremonies during this time as some of my clients have found ways to celebrate as safely as possible. These have been called micro weddings, minimonies, or just mini weddings by the plethora of wedding blogs and magazines. (Among my friends in Chicago micro wedding seems to be the favored term.) But whatever you call them, I’m glad that I was able to see and work with a few clients this year. A few notes about the ceremonies that I’ve been willing to photograph: they’ve all been outdoors, with immediate family, and I’ve stayed distant and worn a mask the entire time. I’m grateful that my clients this year have all been respectful about my comfort level and open about their own. Back to Heather and Kaleb. I blogged about these two last May (which feels like about 7 years ago) when I photographed their Gold Coast engagement session, and I was excited to work with them again.
Congratulations again, Heather and Kaleb! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your Chicago micro wedding day. I can’t wait to celebrate with you again in 2021! A few shout outs to the people who helped to put this Chicago micro wedding together:
