Welcome back to the blog, everyone! Today, I’m excited to share Kate and Danny’s Chicago History Museum wedding photos. I actually met this couple awhile back at Kristen and Andrew’s Salvage One wedding, and I couldn’t wait to see them again. It’s always both flattering and humbling when I receive a word-of-mouth referral, so that put a little extra hop in my step for this crisp, spring day. I normally like to post my photos chronologically so that it feels like a story as you scroll through them, but I’m going to start with my last frame of the night. It was a chilly March day, and snow had unexpectedly started falling during the reception. At the end of the night, we braved the cold and snow outside to take a portrait in the snow.
I started off my day at the Waldorf Astoria hotel with Kate, her friends, and her family as they got ready in their suite.
Meanwhile, Danny was getting ready in a separate room with his groomsmen and family.
After a first look at the hotel, we jumped into a bus to do a few quick portraits around the city.
I loved the classic black bridesmaid dresses that Kate’s bridesmaids wore!
Afterwards, it was time for the Chicago History Museum wedding!
One of my favorites from the night at the start of an emotionally-charged father-daughter dance:
After the parent dances, it was time for the dance party!
Congratulations again Kate and Danny! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to work with you at your Chicago History Museum wedding. I had a blast working with you, your friends, and your families and I wish you only the best!
