Ali and James wanted to do their engagement session in the heart of downtown Chicago. We worked together in Millennium Park and the Art Institute’s south gardens, both just steps from their home! Even though they were a little bit nervous at the start, Ali, James, and I laughed almost the entire time we were together. This made photographing them a breeze! The mix of classic architecture, high-rise buildings, greenery, and flora that can be found in such a small area is really amazing. It’s one reason that I love working downtown.
