Offbeat Chicago Wedding : Allison and Jacob

Remember Allison and Jacob? The last time we saw this fantastic couple, they were braving 90 plus degree weather for their engagement session in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. So, why so offbeat? Well, for starters, Allison and Jacob had their wedding reception at Friendship Chinese in Logan Square, a hidden gem along Milwaukee Avenue. If you’re in Chicago and craving amazing Chinese food that will blow away any buffet, give them a try!

I started off my day with Allison and the girls as they got ready at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. We did a first look in front of the hotel and stopped at a couple locations for photos. Mother nature was definitely on our side on this wedding day. Right after we finished doing some fun photos, it started sprinkling as everyone filed into Bond Chapel for the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the rain had stopped, giving us an opportunity to have some fun with bubbles! We all headed up north to Friendship Chinese for the reception, and as soon as we got into the restaurant, the rain came pouring down again. But we didn’t care – we were eating great Chinese food and dancing!

Enough chatter, it’s photo time:

Quick pit stop back at the apartment before making our way to the reception!
