If Darlene and Andy look familiar, you may remember them from their marathon engagement session last fall (so awesome that it needed two blog posts – here and here). Darlene is Korean and Andy is Thai, so their wedding day included traditions from both cultures. A traditional wedding ceremony was followed by a Thai wedding water ceremony. During the water ceremony (a tradition at Thai weddings), Andy and Darlene knelt over a bench while family and guests approached them to offer them blessings. Following the Thai wedding water ceremony was one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to, as a photographer or a guest! After open dancing had commenced, Darlene changed into her second dress and the bridal party all came out sporting red Chuck Taylors! It was a good thing, too, because everyone here knew how to dance. Congratulations, Darlene and Andy, and thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day!
