Whole Foods Lincoln Park

That’s right – I’m blogging about a grocery store.

Laura and I have always been big fans of Whole Foods; we can’t always afford to buy all of our groceries there, but if you’re looking for organic products, niche international groceries, great proteins, and amazing produce, you can’t go wrong.

We used to live close to the Lincoln Park Whole Foods, but it was a nightmare of a trip. Parking was always horrible, the aisles were small and cramped, and it was always crowded beyond belief. When we heard that a new, bigger store was being built, we were more excited than two people should be about a new grocery store. Yesterday, the new Whole Foods opened its doors, and we stopped by to check it out. We were blown away.

Whoever designed the entrance to this place from the parking garage is brilliant. As you come down the escalator into the store, there are aisles of produce as far as the eye can see. You could literally stand and watch people coming down the escalator all mouth, “Wow.” From there, we wandered about the giant meat and fish section, the huge bulk items aisle, and the enticing hot food bar. We forced ourselves to make it out of there with only a single bag’s worth of groceries, but we’ll definitely be back soon for more!
