I was in San Francisco last weekend for Amanda and Matt’s engagement session. Laura flew out with me, and the two of us made a mini-vacation out of our time out there together. Of course, I had my camera with me the entire time, to document everything we did!
We started our day at the Farmer’s Market at the Ferry building. Blue Bottle Coffee was recommended to us by a friend of Laura’s, and they had a stand set up at the farmer’s market. There was a long line, but our lattes were well worth the wait.
It was painful to see all of this fresh produce and not be able to buy any of it since we didn’t have anywhere to cook. I got some white king salmon lox for brunch. You could really taste the freshness of the heirloom tomatoes, fresh sourdough, and fresh olive oil. Laura picked up some cheese from Cowgirl Creamery and sourdough from Acme Bread, and I stole a few bites of that as well.
We walked around the city and found ourselves near the winding part of Lombard Street, so we decided to hike up the hill; it was steeper than we expected, and we were both sweating by the time we made it to the top.
We also walked around Chinatown, resisting the urge to buy our own live chickens.
After Amanda and Matt’s engagement session, they treated me to a delicious burrito from one of their favorite spots in Mission; I don’t remember the name, but I definitely still remember the burrito.

Great shots. I believe the burrito place is pancho villa taqueria.
Steve, you totally captured my City!!! Glad you guys had a fantastic time!! I was going to say that the burrito place looks exactly like Pancho Villa- and it sounds like it was! You were taken by people in the know- it’s our favorite burrito place as well. And those white loxs- Mr. Peep had that for breakfast on the wedding day!! Great pics- and great engagement shoot!!
