A Jamaica Destination Wedding at the Rockhouse
It may have been April, but it still felt like February in Chicago. Luckily, I had a trip to Jamaica coming up to cure my leftover winter blues. Jessica and Christiaan had a wonderful destination wedding at the Rockhouse in Negril, and I was thrilled to be able to document their day. This was my first trip to Jamaica, and Jessica and Christiaan went out of their way to make sure that I was able to enjoy my stay as if I were a guest at the wedding!
The cliffs of Negril along the ocean provided a beautiful backdrop for both the wedding ceremony and reception. There was some heavy rain the night before the destination wedding, but it looked as if the weather was going to cooperate on the big day. Although the sun was shining for most of the day, our dinner was interrupted by a huge downpour. The rain forced us to move the reception indoors, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits; we were all having too much fun! This was also my first time working with the fantastic Erin Hunt: makeup artist, hair stylist, and my dance partner at the end of the night! Thank you, Jess and Christiaan for letting me be a part of your wedding day. Coming up next on the blog – some shots from the post-destination wedding couples session!

These are some of the most gorgeous wedding piuctures I have ever seen, they are so lighthearted and natural. Jessicas dress is exactly what I have been looking for for myself, I am marrying next year for the second time. And those bridesmaid dresses are the most amazing colour.
